Cereal Sorting Materials: Fruit loops, paper, markers, bowl Instructions: 1. Draw circles on paper and color them in the different colors of cereal (If you have a printer you can print it off too) 2. Pour cereal into small bowl 3. Sort the colors of cereal in the colored circles 4. Count how many pieces of cereal are in each circle
Number Fun Materials: Cardboard or Paper, Markers, Fuzzy balls, Glue Instructions: 1. Write numbers 1-10 on the left side of each paper or cardboard. (This would be a great way to do hand over hand writing with the student) 2. Count out the fuzzy balls to equal the number on each paper 3. Glue the balls on the paper 4. Use them as a counting tool
Color Hunt Materials: 6 different colors of paper Instructions: Ask your child to go find things around the house that match the color of the paper. After they find things for each color, count how many you have.
Counting Activity Materials: Cupcake holders, Marker, Small balls or object you can count, Tongs Instructions: 1. Number each cupcake holder 1-6 (you may always do more if you would like) 2. Put the numbers in order 3. Use tongs to place the items in each cupcake holder following the number inside. 4. Count out how many item are in each cupcake holder.
